To me this is another and sort of sweetly backwards/upside down way of saying what you said, that of course your partner should find you beautiful. I am the wrong person to ask if my partner is beautiful on, say, some ghastly technical 1-10 scale because my eyes are confused with the beautiful whole of him.

I agree that beautiful refers to much more than what is skin deep. To actually be beautiful, the form has to have substance.
